The Dolly Lammy_just breatheStress has increased 316% since 2005. With dramatic global changes underway stress is inevitable. The question is not whether or not we can avoid the day to day stress but rather it’s how can we deal with it effectively.

The Dolly Lammy Breathing Company was established in 2004 as a way to not only address rising stress and anxiety but also as a way to empower others to live a full and vibrant life.

Complex problems are best solved with simple solutions. It’s from this concept that The Dolly Lammy was born. We all know that breathing has many valuable benefits. However there are two main challenges, remembering to breathe in the present moment and to do so effectively by using the diaphragm.

The Dolly Lammy is a visual aide that reminds you to breathe effectively using the tummy to activate the diaphragm.

Be aware of your breathing as often as you are able, whenever you remember. Do that for one year, and it will be more powerfully transformative than attending all of these courses. And it’s free.

AboutPagePicThe Dolly Lammy was brought to life by its co-founders, Darlene Brandell and Wilf Schareck.

When Darlene and Wilf first met, it became apparent that they both had very special coping skills. They were able to move through each day honoring and respecting the blessings and sometimes the hardships that come with the business of life.

They realized that they were able to live life to the fullest by enjoying the process of always working towards the beauty that surrounded them even in the midst of high levels of stress.

After many discussions of how to live a meaningful, healthy, positive and productive life, they realized that something as simple as activating the diaphragm to breathe more effectively was the foundation of their coping skills.

It was at this point that they realized: if something that simple worked so effectively for them, why not for others?

All they needed to spread the word was a tangible visual aide – one that could not only be a symbol and tool for teaching people to breathe with the diaphragm, but also remind them to breathe this way as often as possible.

Darlene had a little plush lamb that had been given to her by a close friend at the time of the tragic and sudden death of her husband. Her lamb reminded her constantly of what she had rather than what she had lost. This became the catalyst for the creation of The Dolly Lammy.

After many attempts to design the perfect Dolly Lammy without much success, Wilf, although having never worked with clay before, was able to design in minutes what both considered to be the ideal expression of their vision. They are now in the process of breathing life into their dream, one breath at a time.
